The main aim of the project European Information System for Organic Markets (EISfOM) is to develop a framework for the collection and processing of relevant, timely, reliable and comprehensive data on organic production and markets.

The second EISFOM Seminar will take place on 10 and 11 November 2005 in Brussels. It will define a framework for a European Information System for Organic Markets. The discussions at the seminar will be based on the recommendations of the EISFOM project. These recommendations will be distributed to participants electronically in October

The seminar is open to all parties interested in the subject of organic data collection and processing including researchers, official and commercial agencies and other stakeholders, in order to meet the data needs of policy-makers, regulators, farmers, processors, traders, retailers and others.

Although most of the main presentations will be from invited speakers, we are offering participants the opportunity to submit an A4 abstract on activities and experiences for inclusion in the conference proceedings (see call for papers).
