We wish to invite representatives of governmental and non-governmental agencies in all countries covered by the project as well as stakeholders from the organic sector to take part. The seminar will offer participants the opportunity to exchange experiences regarding statistical and market data collection for organic agriculture.

Position papers (a maximum of 10 minutes long) to be presented in the group sessions at the seminar are invited. These should address:

1. current problems and opportunities for development in organic data collection and processing (day 1) or
2. issues in international data harmonisation and quality assurance in organic data collection and processing systems (day 2).

The data levels to be addressed in respect to either a) or b) should be:

1. Farm level data - production level
2. Farm level data - farm incomes
3. Wholesaler/processor level data
4. Retailer level data
5. Consumer level data
6. Trade/import/export data
7. Quantities - supply balances
8. Prices
9. Policy - relevant indicators
